Writing Coaching

Westport Writers' Workshop Instructors  Jessica Bram, Marcelle Soviero, Matt Debenham, Sandra Rodriguez Barron, Christine Pakkala, and Cathryn J. Prince are available for private one-on-one consultation at the following rates: 

• $150 per hour; 2 hour minimum for initial meeting;

• Four-hour prepaid package $500; 

• Ten-hour prepaid editing package $1,150. 

• Rate applies to time the instructor spends reading, editing, preparing, and/or meeting;

• Advance payment required.

Manuscript Consulting

Manuscript consulting and critiquing by Suzanne Hoover, Ph.D.: price by prior arrangement, depending on length of manuscript; writing coaching $200 per hour.  Contact srhoover1@optonline.net.

Cancellation policy:

There are no refunds for coaching sessions booked and paid in advance. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required to reschedule a coaching session and receive credit toward the rescheduled session.

Nonfiction Book Proposal Coaching and Consultation

To secure an agent and publish a nonfiction book, an author must first submit a polished book proposal.  Experienced nonfiction author and publishing coach Lucy Hedrick helps nonfiction authors to present their book concept, marketing hook, competition research and promotion plan in a professional book proposal that meets industry standards. She guides nonfiction authors through the process of writing the book proposal, guides authors in preparing an effective query letter; and advises them on the process of finding an agent.
