Writing Coaching

Westport Writers' Workshop Instructors are available by arrangement for private one-on-one consultation at the following rates:

• Fiction and Nonfiction Manuscript Consulting and Critiquing by Suzanne Hoover, Ph.D. Price by prior arrangement, depending on length of manuscript; Writing Coaching $200 per hour.  Contact  srhoover1@optonline.net.
  
• Writing Coaching and/or manuscript editing with Jessica Bram: $150 per hour; Four-hour prepaid package $500; Ten-hour prepaid editing package $1,150. Contact jessica@jbram.com
• Playwriting and Fiction Manuscript Consulting and Critiquing by David Wiltse. Price by prior arrangement, depending on length of manuscript; Writing Coaching $200 per hour.  Contact  info@westportwritersworkshop.com.
• Writing Coaching and/or manuscript editing with Marcelle Soviero, Matt Debenham: $125 per hour. Contact info@westportwritersworkshop.com.
• Screenplay Writing Coaching and/or editing with GiGi New: $150 per hour; two-hour minimum. Contact info@westportwritersworkshop.com. 
• Screenplay: 6 weeks of intensive one on one sessions with GiGi New meeting once a week for 6 consecutive weeks, for 2 hours at a time. Total prepaid package: $1,000.00 
• TV script: 4 weeks of intensive one on one sessions with GiGi New meeting once a week for 4 consecutive weeks, for 2 hours at a time. Total prepaid package: $700.00

Nonfiction Book Proposal Coaching and Consultation

To secure an agent and publish a nonfiction book, an author must first submit a polished book proposal.  Experienced nonfiction author and publishing coach Lucy Hedrick helps nonfiction authors to present their book concept, marketing hook, competition research and promotion plan in a professional book proposal that meets industry standards. She guides nonfiction authors through the process of writing the book proposal, guides authors in preparing an effective query letter; and advises them on the process of finding an agent. Self Publishing Coaching

Are you thinking about self-publishing your book? While self-publishing has evolved into a credible way to get published, it is fraught with pitfalls and the potential for failure. But the potential for reward, when done right, is large.  Before investing your own money and taking on the financial risks inherent in being a self-published author, you need to be informed.

Westport Writers’ Workshop Self Publishing Coach Penny Pearlman, triple award winning self-published author, will help you will gain a clear understanding of your publishing goals, the different options to self-publish, what to expect, what to look for and beware of, potential costs and what you need to do to be successful. • CONSULTATION: IS SELF PUBLISHING RIGHT FOR YOU? $250 package price.  Includes review of pre-consultation questionnaire to analyze your goals, objectives and the nature of your book; 1-1/2 hours in-person  consultation with Penny Pearlman (or by phone or Skype, depending on your location); a copy of “The 10 Pros and Cons of Self-Publishing” by Penny Pearlman, and checklist of questions to ask before selecting a self-publishing vendor.

•  CONSULTATION AND GUIDANCE THROUGH THE SELF-PUBLISHING PROCESS: $125 per hour.   Package with unlimited email access also available, by arrangement.
