WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Do you have a memoir underway that you would like to bring to completion and hopefully, publication? Or do you want to communicate your thoughts in compelling, well-crafted personal essays that are suitable for publication? Then join us for this craft-focused workshop in which to further explore the fascinating material generated by our own lives, in either the personal essay or memoir form.
This workshop is geared to those who have already done some memoir writing and are ready to share and further shape their work. It is suggested for those who have previously acquired the basics of narrative craft in a previous WWW Writing About Your Life workshops, and are interested in learning more advanced concepts and techniques to make the work more engaging, interesting, and effective.
All writing will be done prior to each workshop meeting. Each participant's material will be shared each week in a constructive and supportive atmosphere designed to develop participants' critiquing skills while elevating the quality of the work.
